First Feeling Leg Prosthesis

Prof.(FH) Hubert Egger  at our Department of Medical Engineering has developped the world-wide first Feeling Leg Prosthesis: Using pressure sensors at the sole of the prosthesis, and connecting them to small vibrators which are attached to the remaining part of the leg, the patient is provided with direct feedback about pressure on the sole of the prosthetic foot.

Wolfgang Rangger has been the first patient where this approach has re-established feeling for the missing foot.
